CLOE Success Stories On-line
The Co-operative Learning Object Exchange (CLOE) is
a collaborative project of 15 Ontario universities to
develop an innovative infrastructure for joint development
of multimedia rich learning resources. This spring an
intensive week long training event was held at the University
of Waterloo. Attendees examined issues of learning communities,
instructional design, accessibility, project management,
evaluation and technology. Read about that process and
their success at http://tlc.uwaterloo.ca/projects/cloe/CaseStory.
Version
1.9 of the CanCore Guide for LOM Implementation Released
The CanCore Guide for Learning Object Metadata (LOM)
released version 1.9 last month. The CanCore Profile
is intended to facilitate the interchange of records
describing educational resources and the discovery of
these resources both in Canada and beyond its borders.
These guidelines provide structured and systematic recommendations
for all of the elements specified in the LOM. These
recommendations are the product of a lengthy process
of consultation with specialists, implementers and organizations
located across Canada, in Europe and the US. To get
